I decided to run a 10k multi-terrain race in memory of Baby Peter, as although I have been running for 2 years, I had never run that far, so it was a bit of a challenge to aim for. I struggled a lot with the training for it due to various injuries, but the thought of what Baby Peter went through kept me going, and I was determined to complete the race. The race itself was hard work as it turned out to be a hot day and the course was very steep and tough. At about 5 miles into the race I felt really dizzy and I really felt like I was going to pass out because of the heat, but I kept thinking of Peter, and I knew I had to finish this race for him. It was wonderful coming up to the finish line to see my husband and my two children cheering me on, they did me proud! I’d like to thank everyone who sponsored me and supported me, I really appreciate it, I am pleased to say I raised £130 for the NSPCC, which I really hope will help the children that need it. RIP Baby Peter, never forgotten.” Sarah Perry
